International Specialty Picks Up Another Biocide Business

International Specialty Products today announced that a subsidiary has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of the biocide business of Milker & Gruning, which is located just outside of Frankfurt, Germany. The transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter, is subject to customary closing conditions. The company declined to provide a dollar value on the deal.

Sunil Kumar, ISP's CEO, says the acquisition gives his company access to a low-cost source of product. Wayne-based International Specialty Products is a global supplier of specialty chemicals and other products for personal care, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and industrial applications.
